Instituted in 1945. Awarded to Polish partisans and members of the underground. Also awarded to Polish partisans in France, Yugoslavia & the U.S.S.R.
Obverse: ZA PLOSKE WOLNOSC I LUD (For Poland,
Freedom & the People).
Reverse: PARTYZANTOM (Partisans)

Polish Armed Forces in the West Military Action Cross


Established 1989
Awarded to former members of the armed services who fought alongside the allies in the West.

The only Polish decoration with campaign bars.

Auschwitz Cross
Established in 1985 to honour former concentration camp prisoners.

Obverse: Prisoner symbol.
Reverse: PRL, WIEZNIOM OBOZOW
KONCENTRACYJNYC, (For Prisoners of the Concentration

Siliesian Uprising Cross


Established in 1946
To honour participants in the Silesian Uprising in 1921 & who fought in that region in 1939 & 1945.

Reverse: BOJOWNKOM SLASKA (Silesian Warriors).
